Gold Signal India ("the app") is published by Sita Varalakshmi Guttula. This page explains what information the app uses and where it goes. In short: the app does not ask who you are, does not collect personal data, and keeps your settings and price history on your own phone.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. There is no sign-in, no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server that receives data from the app.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your settings (for example your monthly amount, signal levels and cost settings), daily gold prices, past calls and any price history you import. This is stored only in your phone's browser storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time in the app (Settings, Clear device history) or by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
Price services the app connects to
To show prices, the app asks these public services for data. They receive a normal web request from your phone, which includes your IP address and basic browser details, as with any website. The app does not send them your name, settings or history.

- ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) for the US dollar to rupee rate
- freegoldapi.com for long-term gold price history
- Frankfurter (frankfurter.dev) for past exchange rates
The app is hosted on Netlify, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of visit) to run and protect its service. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you turn on alerts, the app shows notifications on your phone when its call changes. These are created on your phone. No notification service or server is used.
Children
The app is meant for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
Not investment advice
The app is a learning and planning tool. Prices are estimates and may be delayed or wrong. Nothing in the app is investment, tax or legal advice.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
